Just a little update

Well, the guilt and need to procrastinate hit me, so I'm blogging. No real exciting stories, but here's are the important variables in my life:

1. I'm taking a shit ton of classes (1 class[statistics!] and 3 seminars, teaching and reading modeling papers with my labmate so I stop being scared of math. Modeling papers are actually really fun once you get oriented 'cause they are so logical. They are especially fun when they are modeling processes of sexual selection and incorporate variables that correspond to no actualy force in nature. Its special.

2. My mondays sucks: I'm in class (straight mind you) from 10 am until 7 pm. I thought these things weren't supposed to happen in graduate school!

3. My thursdays are beautiful: I have class at 8am (thus forcing me to school early) and nothing the rest of the day so I read all day!

4. To be comparable to Kris: I exercise too! Its still the early morning thing, but now we are doing circuits in the weight room instead of just a set number of reps. Its a little more exciting 'cause you are supposed to move quickly between the weight machines to keep your heart rate up.

5. My triumph of a submitted paper has turned to annoyance at a rejected paper. The reviewers want me to completely redo the intro and work on some of the stats. Boo.... but, at least the comments were constructive.

6. I'm watching a lot more movies and anime at night to relax and keep sane (netflix I love you!). Some of the best things I've seen recently were: Deathnote (anime) Beck (anime) Night on earth (Jim Jarmusch movie) Samurai Jack (cartoon network show) and of course Avatar: the last airbender

In conclusion, school is my life and things are a bit stressful and I constantly seemed to be anxious about accomplishing something or other. I think I might be shortening my lifespan. On the plus side, I enjoy it all and wouldn't do a lot of the work if I wasn't pressured, so I'm learning a lot. I also get to hang out with a cool group of people. I've infected my roommate with the comic book love bug this term (always gradifying).

Okay, now I should accept my fate: I must figure out how to put to multiple regression lines on my scatterplot using R this afternoon.

gucci bags's Gravatar There was one moment in the movie when the "devil in Prada" questioned whether she would be hated for who she was if she were a man. For five seconds, feminists all over held their collective breath and waited for the real discussion to begin. The moment passed, with no debate or gucci bags answer at all. Only a resounding silence that said everything.
